Tadpoles - Introduction to Water (ages 6-18 months)
COST: $35
This class is a 2-day group class for 6 month olds up to age 2 and is designed to help young children become comfortable in the water. Because this class is designed for the very young baby and toddler, parent or other adult participation in the pool is required. In this class, you will learn invaluable training tools that you can use to help your child become comfortable in the water. We will work on safe holding techniques and basic swim positions to introduce your young child to the water including front and back floating with support, kicking, blowing bubbles, holding on to the side of the pool, and how to teach them to safely jump off the side. We will practice safe submersion techniques for those who are ready and will learn basic pool safety to keep your young children safe around the pool. (For the safety of all of our swimmers, swim diapers are required for all children who are not completely potty trained.)

Guppies -Level 1- Intro to water
(2 yrs) Some classes require parent participation.
COST: $89
This 5-day group class, primarily for 18 months-3 yr olds, is designed to introduce young toddlers to the water. The PRIMARY goal of this class is to get the child comfortable in the pool, and, most importantly, to be comfortable putting their face and head underwater (a necessary skill when learning to swim). The students will be taught basic swim positions including front and back floating with support, kicking, blowing bubbles, holding on to the side of the pool, and safely jumping off the side. We will practice safe submersion techniques for those who are ready.
If you and your child have participated in the tadpole class, it is possible for your child to skip this level. (For the safety of all of our swimmers, swim diapers are required for all children who are not completely potty trained.) If your child is age 2-3 and has some experience in the water OR is over the age of 3, I recommend starting with the level 2 jellyfish.
The guppies class for 18 months-2 yrs is for toddlers who are ready for swim instruction but not yet ready for a formal class with a teacher. In this guppies class, one parent/adult will need to get in the pool with the child and the teacher will help each parent work on skills to practice with the child.

This stroke implements only a leg kick with no arm movement and is very simple to master. (For the safety of all of our swimmers, swim diapers are required for all children who are not completely potty trained.)
